ENVISION has recently designed a $19.4 million 25,000 sf phased project to completely renovate and modernize Ellis Hospital's interventional surgery and procedure facility, including pre/post areas, a PACU, and specialized spaces for interventional radiology, angiography, electrophysiology labs, and a new hybrid OR.
This project addresses changing surgical and procedure technologies, and houses a facility that can focus on vascular interventions, expanded capacities for the Wright Heart Center, and greater cross-discipline practice.
The project entails numerous relocations and renovations, all designed by ENVISION, including: relocation of the Pathology Lab to a separate wing, consolidation and expansion of the pre/post recovery untis, relocation of the existing interventional radiology suite to the new center, relocation of the existing angiography suite to the new center, creation of a procedure/ anesthesia prep room that can be used for minor procedures, construction of a new hybrid operating room, relocation of the current electrophysiology lab and the creation of a new EP lab, and upgrading of all major equipment.
