Project Architect

Description:

ENVISION Architects (WBE) is an award-winning, collaborative architecture, planning and design firm with a dynamic career opportunity for a Project Architect to join our firm. We are seeking a candidate who is team oriented, client focused and experienced in a broad range of project types including higher education, healthcare, laboratory/ technology and cultural/community. The Project Architect will be highly capable in facilitating project execution and delivery, professionally represent the firm, and manage client expectations on projects.

Successful candidates will be licensed architects responsible for leading project teams, developing project designs, project work plans, ensuring profitability through budget, schedule and scope compliance and maintaining contracts. A Project Architect with significant strong project management experience is highly desirable.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall development and implementation of projects and the coordination of team efforts to complete projects promptly and successfully
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project team and client management skills
  • Capable in holding project teams including consultants accountable to deadlines and manages consultant invoices
  • Actively mentors emerging team members and participates in providing feedback on performance reviews
  • Collaborates with firm leadership on a variety of organizational efforts including profitability, resource allocation, proposals, interviews and client relations initiatives
  • Stewards firm values and mission
  • Participates in on-going professional development opportunities to maintain industry knowledge and leadership development
  • Understands how to develop project work plans, schedules and budgets; review work plans to ensure project timeliness, adherence to budget and keeps client informed on project status
  • Consistently strives to improve technical quality of work via industry advances and trends, new technologies and updates to building codes
  • In collaboration with the Principals in Charge, prepare, negotiate, and maintain Owner/Architect and Architect/Consultant contracts and additional services
  • Enjoys working with staff in a collaborative culture and possesses a positive leadership style

Project Designer

Description:

ENVISION Architects (WBE) is an award-winning, collaborative architecture, planning and design firm with a dynamic career opportunity for a Project Designer to join our firm. We are seeking a candidate who is team oriented, client focused and has experience in higher education, healthcare, science and technology and/or cultural and community projects.

We are seeking a candidate with 3-5 years of experience working in a professional architectural environment, who is team oriented, creative, and client-focused. They should enjoy collaboration and possesses a professional acumen and positive attitude. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of key programs including Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite, and enjoy drawing by hand, and sketching when collaborating. Candidate must have excellent communication and time management skills, and the ability to successfully maintain paths of workflow.

Essential Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting project architects including documenting existing conditions, drafting and modeling, product and materials research, and participating in building conditions assessments and in construction administration tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborate with Project Teams to assist in developing and documenting client goals, design concepts, and budget and schedule estimations
  • Embrace being mentored and coached in all areas of the business, and mentor younger staff including student interns
  • Consistently strives to improve quality of work via industry advances and education, new technologies, etc.
