The design of this school for troubled youth is broken down into residentially scaled elements, to de-emphasize the institutional setting. Encompassing a traditional highschool curriculum, the facility includes classrooms, cafeteria, gymnasium, outdoor pool, and specialized instructional spaces for art, science, and home and careers. The architecture is respectful of physical and emotional human needs, and transmits a message of care and concern to its troubled occupants.
